bleh..

Been a little sickly the past few days. Didn't get much work done. Hopefully I can start back up painting by tomorrow. Worked on the comic strip a little but when I am sick, I admit.. I am a baby. waaaa...lol. Doc says my next big operation will be in March. That will put me out of commission for 4 to 6 weeks if everything goes right. ( for those who do not know I had part of my colon removed and will have another surgery to re-connect stuff) <>
Updated a few pages and started listing a few more works on eBay... need some $$ to pay the bills :)

Reviewing some gallery offers but not sure which direction I want to go. I would love for a gallery to represent me completely. But isn't that every artists dream? Maybe I will find the right fit this year. 2011 baby! woot woot...

I just listed "The Last Escape" on ebay, take a looksy if ya want= EBAY

There are some of my Snowman drawings ending tonight on EBay . Framed with no reserve. I will release a couple more paintings very soon (tonight??) for auction on eBay. Please keep watch if you're looking to purchase a Dowling original.

2011

This year has already started out strong. I am somewhat healthy and able to continue working with the arts. Things look promising this year.

TurningArt.com is a new company, think of it as the "Netflix" of the art world. I have signed up with them and you will be able to rent some prints of mine through their unique site. I see great things with this new company. Take a looksee: HERE

Another project I have recently started on is the creation of my comic strip "Weekend Warriors". In talks with a few venues to publish. Hopefully soon. I am eager to show these wacky little panels to people. It's a comic strip about my second love... paintball. Not too long ago I wrote on Facebook how I wished I could combine the two loves... art and paintball. I think I found the way :) My third passion is fishing, not sure how to incorporate that just yet... give me time. The image showing on this post is of some raw concept art. Thats Leonard, the main character of the strip. Details coming soon.

New works available

New works available on eBay. <-Clicky

Will have more available soon. I have been working with smaller canvases and canvas board to make the paintings more affordable. I still spend a lot of time on each piece but the materials, shipping materials and size make it so I can sell at a lower cost.

Been a very productive month. I took a few weeks off from the studio to pursue a few ideas. One was a company for a side project called "Ugly dog"(picture to the right) Still working on the packaging and the legal paperwork. Fun Fun! It's a spice company for men who love unique blends for dips, rubs and sauces. I guarantee you one of the hottest chip dips you have ever tasted! lol. Also a nice Chipotle rub for pork and chicken... a blend from heaven...Mmmm.

I also created a cartoon strip for my paintball addiction called "Weekend Warriors". I will show a sneak peak of that sometime soon.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

grrrr

I keep forgetting about this whole blogging thing. I guess Facebook has made it easy for all of us to communicate and keep connected.

I am in talks with a company who I will be using prints of my work soon. Its a new concept for the art world and I am eager to start.

Happy New year everyone!

emo mood

The best paintings are the ones that make you cry when you're finished painting them.

New paintings and ideas are flowing effortlessly lately. I think I am at that creative stage again due to the upcoming show.

I have been shutting off my internet around noon everyday until 9ish. That damn Facebook is a time killer. Plus some of the websites I read on a daily bases...etc. I think I could kill an entire day reading Fark and Lamebook.

I need to focus.

It's 11:11 make a wish!
